Labor Day marks the end of summer, and America’s craft beer producers are stepping up to the plate with a smart list of solid beers to keep on hand as fall approaches.

Best served cold (Aurora, NY) – Labor Day marks the end of summer and the approach of fall, and 42 North Brewing is celebrating this transition by returning to one of its most popular seasonal products. Inspired by the rich aromas of oatmeal raisin cookies, 42 Northern Brown Ale Oatmeal Cookies is a 5.8% alcohol beer intended for use in cold conditions, brewed with molasses, cinnamon, vanilla and raisins.

“While we hate to see summer end, one bright spot is the launch of our Oatmeal Cookie Brown Ale,” said 42 North founder John Cimperman, “one bright spot is the launch of our Oatmeal Cookie Brown Ale. This beer is the perfect complement to the cool fall nights.”

Cool down (Chico, CA / Mills River NC) – Sierra Nevada Brewing recently released the latest addition to their incredibly creative “Limited Hazy Series.” It’s available for purchase now, but it’s coming soon.

Brewed with cryogenically frozen fresh Mosaic hops, which provide a distinct boost of fresh hop notes, along with aromatic Cryo Crystal, Comet and El Dorado hops. Sierra Nevada Cool Little Thing is a Cryo Fresh Hazy IPA beer with an alcohol content of 7.5% vol., with rich tropical flavours and aromas, with juicy fruits and bittersweet citrus, with a hint of earthiness that is well balanced by clean hop bitterness.

“What I love most about Cool Little Thing is the intense tropical aromas and nuances of hop flavor complexity that come from cryogenically frozen fresh hops,” said Brian Grossman, head brewer and second-generation brewer at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “There’s something special about basking in the sun while enjoying a cold, fresh hoppy beer.”
