First Alert Weather: Summer Heat Returns

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The same high pressure system that controlled our weather a few days ago continues to regulate the weather through the end of the work week.

But now there is a different wind direction and rising temperatures. Southerly winds will push temperatures into the low to mid 80s. That is unseasonably warm. Unfortunately, the pattern changes over the weekend, with cooler, wetter weather returning Saturday and Sunday.

Expect another night of clear, starry skies Wednesday night. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s. The weather at the bus stop Thursday morning will be dry and sunny, with temperatures near 60 degrees at 8:00 a.m. The heat will come in the afternoon, with highs near 82 degrees.

On Friday, you can expect partly sunny skies with highs in the mid 80s. Then, Saturday will feature sporadic rain showers with temperatures only near 70 degrees, and the cooler trend will continue into Sunday.
