Man dies after surgeon allegedly accidentally removes his liver

An Alabama woman says she lost her husband in an unthinkable medical accident. Her husband, William Bryan, was rushed to the operating room to have his spleen removed. Instead, the doctor allegedly accidentally removed his liver. In a statement, the hospital says, “We take allegations like these very seriously, and our leadership team is conducting a thorough investigation into this incident. Patient safety is and remains our number one priority. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
